DIGITAL-SETPOINT
UPPER BOARD
OPTION 06
APPLICABLE INSTRUMENTS
Model
204B,2003B and 2004 for DC, AC, true-RMS or process signals
Models
267B and 268 for thermocouple or RTD temperature signals
The
06 is an upper-board option which adds a single setpoint for digital
control or alarm to a host digital panel meter. Its outputs are one
Form-C reed relay, one TTL output and one front-panel LED, which flashes
when the meter reading is in the alarm zone.
OPERATING MODES
The 06 can be hardwired for latched or non-latched operation. In latched
operation, the alarm outputs stay activated until reset by a front-panel
reset pushbutton or momentarily grounding a pin on the rear connector.
In non-latched (or automatic-reset) operation, the alarm outputs are
only activated while the input to the meter is in the alarm zone.
If the polarity pin is not connected, the 06 will alarm on the absolute
value of a positive or negative signal. This allows operation as a
null-band detector.
PROGRAMMING
The 06 is programmed by hardwiring selected BCD lines from the main
board of the meter. When all of the selected BCD lines go true, the
06 senses an alarm condition.
